The Infamous Masterson’s , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I experienced behind its doors was appalling and beyond comprehension .

From the moment I entered , it was apparent that hygiene was not a priority at this venue. The floors were sticky , and a nauseating aroma of decaying beverages and dirty bathrooms polluted the entire venue . With a smell of a mixture of ammonia , a rotting odor and sickness . The counter , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was overflowing with soiled cups and trash that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The restroom was in even worse condition — backed up, with a shattered handle and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was feces.

Based on the experiences shared online and chatting with the community, it seems that the level of hygiene (or lack thereof) at this bar is a persistent problem . Many visitors have reported witnessing insects darting across the drink station and signs of rats in the bar and house area . For a business that provides refreshments , these issues are absolutely intolerable and raise serious concerns about the integrity of their offerings.
